Pre-Trip Ireland
We had the good fortune to be able to travel across to Ireland in early September 2007 to compete in the annual Liffey Descent Canoe Race near Dublin. This seemed like an ideal opportunity to combine seeing beautiful Ireland with a little pre-trip tester of Duzi2.
The catch was, we were towing a massive trailer loaned from Royal Canoe Club, containing 19 canoes of one form or another.
We decided to take the Fishguard - Rosslare ferry across, coming into the south east of Ireland, with a straight drive up the coast to Dublin where a very kind man named Dave at Camac Valley Camping in Clondalkin (an area of Dublin), allowed us to store the trailer securely, while we headed off to explore the west coast for a couple of days.
